We made home made apple pies using a recipe calling for leaf lard. Never heard of this before, and after doing some research online, came across Fatworks, and studied the reviews before ordering. I’m so glad I did! The jars came quickly, and were packaged such that they were in perfect condition. We made the pie crust recipe using organic leaf lard and it came out perfect and delicious. We brought them to our family Thanksgiving feast, and everyone loved the pies. We are so pleased with the high quality of Fatworks. We are looking forward to making more recipes. We love using high quality fats and avoiding the trans-fats (like Crisco). Do yourself a favor and order a jar of leaf lard - you won’t be disappointed!

This is what I use for most of my pork cuts, it has a very high heat tolerance and adds a lot of moisture without a bacon-y, obviously-pork-fat added flavor; it has a very clean flavor. Also great for pan frying grated potatoes like hash browns, onions etc.

New fatworks customer. Trying to eliminate seed oils. Just mixed half leaf lard and half olive oil and used it with a dash of lemon for my tuna and pasta dish. One can tuna in water, oregano, onion powder, red pepper flake, one tablespoon olive oil and leaf lard combo, dash of lemon, one serving cooked pasta. Delicious low calorie lunch. The leaf lard added a nice richness to the dish and helped it stick with me all the way to dinner time! Thanks Fatworks!!!

Wonderful for pies, both sweet and savory! Fruit pies made with half butter and half Leaf Lard were delicious. Chicken pot pie with all Leaf Lard pie crust was very tender yet held the heavy ingredients together beautifully. (A touch of Chicken Schmaltz in the pot pie made a tasty difference, too!)
