Best quality lard anywhere.

I've made 8 apple pies this season (most in the freezer). The crust recipe calls for unsalted butter and shortening, and I've been using Crisco (I know, not the most healthy), until I found Fatworks Leaf Lard. I read up about how to use leaf lard in baking, and boy does it make a difference in flavor! My husband gives it two thumbs up and our friends (who we invited over for apple pie the other night), loved it! They liked it so much I gave them the rest of the pie to take home!
I also used the leaf lard recently when sautéing, and plan on using it whenever I can -- when frying or sautéing, -- and especially with baking where shortening is called for, e.g. pie crusts! My first order was for two jars of organic leaf lard. They were shipped promptly and arrived safely. I was very impressed with the packaging. I love your product and will buy it again! Keep up the good work, Fatworks!

Love this leaf lard........can't make pie crust without this wonderful product.
Tami C.
I was so excited to try the organic leaf lard & had that opportunity yesterday when I prepared rosemary garlic pork roast for the fam. Leaf lard was the first ingredient, & it did not disappoint!
Sandy W.
First time using lard in my recipes. I made cornbread and it wasn’t crumbly as I hoped. Didn’t add any flavor which I’m guessing is expected.
Mary H.
Love cooking with this lard. I have been looking for an organic source since the farmer who sold it at my farmer's market retired. Will definitely be ordering again in the future.
Kyra H.
Love that it does not have the beef smell!
danica b.
I GAVE IT AWAY CANT USE IT ON LIKE SPREAD ON BREAD.
Simona S.
Tried it in the jars this time, but the lard was a lot harder to work with. For example, the crust on the quiche I made was super hard to work with compared to normal. This lard also left a residue on my pans, which has never happened before. Should be the same stuff, but getting much different results. Going back to the buckets.
Dena S.
Staple in my baking. Works great for pie crust, biscuits, and scones.
Linda V.
I use this to make my pie crusts which turned out amazing.
Barbara L.
This is my first time buying your leaf lard. I do like it very much. Mellower than regular pork lard. Thank you for the suggestion!
Naomi A.
Smooth, tastes awesome. I eat it as is with my raw meat and for skin care.

Best lard you can buy!
Claudia P.
Perfect taste for refried beans. Many compliments but I wouldn’t tell my secret ingredient.( leaf lard).
Kathleen P.
The flavor is wonderful. It’s amazing to cook with in my stainless steel pans. I will definitely buy more. I can’t wait to make pie crust with it.
Leslie J.
a great new taste experience that i know is more healthy for me.
Anna C.
I used this for traditional Easter cakes that my mom used to make. They turned out great. I highly recommend the leaf lard for the sweet "Casatielli" of Naples, Italy.
Janis M.
Very happy with the lard and service.
Bobbi H.
My first pie! & the crust was a success!
I need more practice, thanks to a wonderful product the pie was delicious!
David H.
It makes the best potatoes as well as cakes and icing!!!! Awesome product. It does taste different from the non organic leaf lard. I really don’t know which is better. They are both great with very little flavor.
David S.
It's all good but the leaf lard DOES have pork odor.
Lynn D.
This was my 2nd time ordering here. I love the leaf lard! I now use it as my only sauté oil…eggs, potstickers, caramelized onions! I no longer use seed oils and this has a higher smoke point than olive oil. Fantastic stuff!
emilia p.
I wanted a great pie crust so I would make an all butter pie crust and while it was delicious, the texture was blah. I never wanted to use lard because of the bacon flavor it left in any baking but when I saw the leaf lard on the website I knew I needed to try it. My recipe is 60% butter and 40% leaf lard and the crust was OMG! It still had good buttery taste but now with the lard the crust is so incredibly flaky. I cannot recommend using lard in your pie crust enough.
Donna K.
Yuck. I did not like the smell of it. I guess I’m just too used to oils that have no smell.
Rosemarie F.
Loved the leaf lard made the best pie crust for my pumpkin pie!
Marla P.
I am so grateful for Fatworks as a company. The output of products that are really good quality for supporting people’s health needs is an exceptional option to Seed Oils. FatWorks gets Back to the Basics. Very helpful customer support service; knowledge, as well.
Terri F.
My husband listened to a podcast regarding leaf lard making the best pie crust and for Thanksgiving pies he recommended trying the leaf lard. My initial response was I make really great pie crust and I don't know. I finally acquiesced, but said if this ruins my pumpkin pie it will be on you. He was right the pie crust was amazing, flaky light, easy to work with and the dough was almost silky. I will never again make pie crust with anything other than Fatworks Leaf Lard.
Brandie
I love their products! I’m unable to get them in any local store near me, so I’m happy to have the option of getting their products online. I most definitely recommend!
Nicholas W.
Fantastic! Best stuff ever
Sheila P.
I hate to say how disappointed I am in this batch of organic leaf lard. It is not white and has an offputting porky smell when using it. Nothing like the jars I have had in the past. Unfortunately I have four jars that I’m going to have to figure out alternate uses because they will not be good for baking and I’m not all that crazy about the smell when I’m frying with it either.
Ashley
This is the BEST thing to use in my baking for the season. Get some every Talloween.
Donna G.
Good lard I bought it for pie crusts. It was super runny which surprised me.
Cathryn R.
Used this to make Yorkshire tea cakes and it worked beautifully. Plan on using this Leaf Lard for my pie crusts and biscuits also. Will be ordering more.
JANET M.
When I'm making refried beans, this lard makes them pop!!
Susan M.
Fatworks leaf lard makes ALL the difference in my homemade pie crusts! I’ve searched for the “secret” to a flaky and delicious pie crust and this leaf lard is it! I won’t bake a pie without it.
Rachaell M.
We found FatWorks years ago, and have loved it. The products are sustainably sourced and offer a viable alternative to seed oil. I use the leaf lard for every day use because of its more delicate flavor, and it is my secret trick to making amazing, super flaky pastries around the holidays.
Kay R.
Wonderful product and I highly recommend. Best lard I have ever used in my cooking and I will purchase here again.
JESSICA C.
I love using leaf lard! It cooks everything beautifully in my cast iron and it tastes good!
Joshua
Great product that adds flavor to everything I cook with it. Best tortillas I’ve ever made thanks to this Lard!
Michelle J.
Peanut butter brownies. I know they will come out well and are much better for you with lard compared to shortening (which is engine grease). Leaf lard and fatworks for the win!
Michelle J.
Game changer!!! Love the quality and the delicious foods I can make. Had trouble making good biscuits for years. Switched to fatworks leaf lard and now I get the most delicious fluffy biscuits

Fatworks Leaf-Lard:
It is amazingly smooth doesn't over power your baked goods it just elevates them to a whole new level of scrumptious!
Matthew W.
Just love this product! It makes the best pie crust!!
J. Todd W.
I won't make pie crust without it.
Ashley S.
The leaf lard is amazing!! I used it to make scallion lard (Chinese/Japanese in origin) and it's an inexpensive way to make dishes taste better and seem "fancier" than they are.
Tammie F.
This is my first time using Tallow & Lard in my cooking. I. Am. Hooked.!!! All of the products that I ordered from Fatworks are amazing! I thought I was blown away with how carefully it was packaged and shipped, then I tasted it and I can't believe I've waited so long to try it! Game changer! It's my go to for everything requiring fat in my cooking now. Thank you Fatworks!!!
Evelyn C.
Love it! It's great! Use it all the time.
Michael P.
Have used leaf lard in making my bisques and corn bread for a taste that is unbelievable. In addition put some on the skins of baked potatoes for a crisp and tasty potato.
Joyce H.
I love this organic lard. It's important to me to choose organic and this one is it. I recommend this to all my friends and family.
Sarah M.
Love this leaf lard for pie crusts, there’s no substitute. After I realized my initial order would not arrive in time for Thanksgiving, customer service agent David worked throughout the day with the order fulfillment team to have my order shipped overnight so that I would arrive in time. Many thanks for the great customer service, the pies turned out great!
Gytha H.
We made home made apple pies using a recipe calling for leaf lard. Never heard of this before, and after doing some research online, came across Fatworks, and studied the reviews before ordering. I’m so glad I did! The jars came quickly, and were packaged such that they were in perfect condition. We made the pie crust recipe using organic leaf lard and it came out perfect and delicious. We brought them to our family Thanksgiving feast, and everyone loved the pies. We are so pleased with the high quality of Fatworks. We are looking forward to making more recipes. We love using high quality fats and avoiding the trans-fats (like Crisco). Do yourself a favor and order a jar of leaf lard - you won’t be disappointed!
Christina W.
This is what I use for most of my pork cuts, it has a very high heat tolerance and adds a lot of moisture without a bacon-y, obviously-pork-fat added flavor; it has a very clean flavor. Also great for pan frying grated potatoes like hash browns, onions etc.
Paige M.
Nice product. Mild taste and excellent packaging during shipment! Would highly recommend.
Lisa N.
Not used yet, but this has to be as great as the other products. Deciding if I want to driest fry my eggs, or bake!.
Howard K.
Use your delicious organic leaf lard daily to cook my eggs with corned beef. Love it!
Sam S.
New fatworks customer. Trying to eliminate seed oils. Just mixed half leaf lard and half olive oil and used it with a dash of lemon for my tuna and pasta dish. One can tuna in water, oregano, onion powder, red pepper flake, one tablespoon olive oil and leaf lard combo, dash of lemon, one serving cooked pasta. Delicious low calorie lunch. The leaf lard added a nice richness to the dish and helped it stick with me all the way to dinner time! Thanks Fatworks!!!
Diane C.
The simple purchase method was appealing, and the goods were of high quality.
Donald L.
I love this lard. It's completely natural and the quality is superb. I love cooking and baking with it! I always prepare my yummy fare with these great fats! So happy I found "Fatworks"!
Melody C.
I love this lard, it's amazingly delicious! Thanks for making this high quality fat available.
Steven P.
The lard was as good as advertised! I made carrot fritters for my grandson and if he’s pleased then I’m pleased!
Sarah C.
I love the leaf lard, I haven't tried with baking but I cannot wait to. I've made the baconnaise with this and used as a sub with my safe catch tuna to make a delicious tuna salad.
Deanna P.
I made a pie dough with 1/2 lard and 1/2 butter. It turned out pretty good, flaky, and tender.
Michael W.
Leaf lard is one of the most nutritious animal fats. It is great for all Mid-temperature cooking. The flavor is mild but unctuous.
Donna K.
I have a dairy intolerance & now can put Leaf Lard on my toast. It has a wonderful texture & no strange flavor like other pork fat products we've tried. I use it as butter/shortening substitute in baking - my biscuits are great! Have told a lot of people about how good it is, too.
Marlyss h.
I purchased this leaf lard first because I had never heard of it before and second because of the bragging about how well it works in baked goods. I made a pie crust for Christmas dessert. It was so tender and flakey. I have never been one for eating the crust. I usually just eat the inside. Not this time!….today I fried a pork chop in the lard. The flavor was so amazing and succulent. I’m hooked on Fatworks Fat.
Megan E.
It came quickly and the taste is clean and delicious. Making frying things so much more of a joy.
Sandra A.
I use leaf lard for making my corn fritters and other delicious foods. Now at this time of year - cookies! The product is excellent and the ordering is easy. The jars came promptly and well packed with no breakage.
Beth Z.
It works well for making tamales!
Michael P.
Enjoyed this type of lard when growing up on the farm. We would get this lard and use it on toast and my mother used it to make bisqcuits and they were light and flakey, also made great pancakes.
Catherine B.
This lard is my favorite fat for sautéing veggies. Mild flavor and nutritious!
Melissa H.
This is the best, cleanest, mildest leaf lard around for turning out flaky crusts and sauteing veggies. Rich, subtle, faintly nutty flavor.
Nancy T.
Well cookie baking season is upon us once again! And there is no better way to turn out delicious cookies, pastries and pies than with this wonderful, versatile organic leaf lard!
There’s nothing like a crisp peanut butter cookie, delicious flaky pie crust or oozy gooey chocolate chip cookies. This leaf lard rocks!
I have used this as my secret ingredient, but felt bad about being selfish. So, I let the cat out of the bag….. Now all my friends and family can bake up their own deliciousness and support one of my favorite stores at the same time!
Tracy R.
There is no better pie crust or Southern-style biscuit than those made with leaf lard, which can be hard to find.
This is an excellent product. Buy it. Make pie crusts with it. Amaze your friends and family.
And then tell them where you bought the lard.
Linda D.
Wonderful for pies, both sweet and savory! Fruit pies made with half butter and half Leaf Lard were delicious. Chicken pot pie with all Leaf Lard pie crust was very tender yet held the heavy ingredients together beautifully. (A touch of Chicken Schmaltz in the pot pie made a tasty difference, too!)
Nancy D M.
Good ordering and shipping- quality product for biscuits. Looking forward to using the lard to fry fish.
Gisela B.
Great product and excellent for cooking.
Teri R.
My arthritis with my health changes was still coming and going. The oil problem has now been resolved with going back to clean fats our G-parents always used. So very glad I found you.
Terry W.
I have used Fat Works Leaf Lard in my baking recipes and will continue to do so. A quality product.
Megan S.
I've loved the results of using leaf lard for flour tortillas. I haven't tried it yet in pie crusts, but I bet the results will be great. The jars were well protected in neat clamshell holders for shipping, so they showed up here in perfect condition. Couldn't be an easier order -- thanks again!
Nancy T.
Ive always loved cooking and baking with fats. Yet, as time went on we got away from the good stuff. We were constantly badgered on how bad fats were until now.
Ever notice how foods lack that extra panache, that flavor that screams WOW!
Well, wonder no more, it’s back! And FatWorks really delivers!
Meats and French fries sing cooked in pure organic beef tallow, and baked goods send you to the moon and back with leaf lard.
I just made some homemade icing for a cake I baked for a special occasion. Everyone was raving on my cream cheese icing. They couldn’t get over the rich creamy flavor and wanted to know my secret. You can only imagine their faces when I said leaf lard, lol . Not only did they get out of this world delicious icing they got a bit of education on the fantastic health benefits of fats! Fats are your friend! And if you love to cook and bake like I do, you understand there are no substitutions.
Don’t get me started on French fries, chicken and duck fats or we’ll be here all day, lol .
If you enjoy great tasting foods and excellent health look no further, get your fat on with FatWorks!
Maggie P.
I've been very pleased with this lard. I use it for baking and cooking. I'm pretty picky about my ingredients. I use organic and locally sourced as much as possible, and I like to cook and bake as a hobby. This is excellent quality lard and the ordering and delivery process was quick and easy and the jars arrived intact. I'm looking forward to trying some of the other products.
Evelyn C.
Love Organic Leaf Lard, use it for frying all the time.
