My FatWorks lard pail was loaded into many mason jars and kept in freezer except for the "in-use" one which as you can see, is heavily used. This is my go-to fat for cooking pretty much everything. It has excellent smoke point, is not bacon-y (which I can't necessarily say is good thing, bacon...mmmm) but makes it more versatile.
One pail (again loaded into large mason jars and put in freezer) has lasted me over two years but it didn't stop me from purchasing another one because I like to have a nice healthy fat stockpile.

Excellent lard! Decided to make tamales this year for Christmas & wanted a quality lard. My family uses cheaper lard but I wanted to see if there was a difference using Fatworks quality lard. There sure is! The taste of the tamales were absolutely delicious. Some folks can get a overly porky taste. Not these what's so ever. Made over 200 & not one is left. Also used it in the refried beans, super yummy!
We also made carnitas on New Years with the rest of the lard left. Needless to say this years carnitas were the best I've had hands down & I know it's because of the lard! My wife's family agreed that the lard used for the carnitas made the hugest difference on the outcome of the pork(very picky folks). Usually the pork cooked in other cheaper lards makes the dish extra porky but once again Fatworks Lard did not do this leaving one to appreciate the meal even more!
First & not the last time I will be using Fatworks Lard for future cooking applications. Thanks!

If you're like me and Christmas tamales are a sacred part of life, you know you HAVE to use only the best lard with your masa! I wish Fatworks had been around in my grandmothers time, she had to render all the lard by herself, or worse, one time she used the foul BHA and BHT contaminated stuff from big box stores, and it nearly ruined Christmas! This lard makes the fluffiest, richest, more delicious tamales ever. Grandma would be proud! Never stop!

The product sells itself. Fire your marketing team and fire your review team. I should not receive a single email reminding me to write one. I've had a wonderful experience with my gallon of Pig Pail. I am thrilled that Fatworks offers it in such a large increment! I am sorry I did not take a picture of my gallon prior to sharing it. I share it because I am a mature woman and share it with another mature woman. We prefer to share the gallon, so I split it in half and gave the portion in the pail to my friend. It arrived timely and in perfect condition! It divided up like thick silk! The texture was exceptionally smooth and easy to divide, and of course, the taste is sublime! We are both hogs for genuine clean fat, and that is why I prefer the texture and taste of Fatworks products. I've used Fatworks products before and have always been pleased with them! Also, my friend just received a deep fryer for her birthday and is anxious to be frying donuts for her family and guests for the Christmas holiday coming up. She's from Europe and has fond memories of her family using lard to make donuts! She has been anxiously awaiting this order to try. And I will update this review once she has fried her donuts. Truly, Pig Tail is a lovely product, and I will be ordering more once I use this up! Fatworks have truly found their niche! I use it for frying up eggs, bacon, and anything I can think of. It’s the only way to cook these days. We all need to be using AUTHENTIC SATURATED FATS and stop using these horrible seed oils and are ruining our health! Keep up the good work Fatworks!

We bought a 1-gallon pail of pasture-raised pork lard. I divided it into individual containers to use in the fridge and freezer, shown in the photo. This avoids shipping a lot of glass jars. The package arrived promptly in great shape. We’ve been cooking low carb and also eliminating seed oils for a couple of years. The addition of pastured lard is great. It adds a pleasant savory flavor to scrambled eggs, and also appears to be a good source of vitamins K2 and D. All good!

Non-contaminated food products, like those from factory farms, are very expensive and not commonly available. Having a 15% discount on 3 pails is a significant savings. I keep the pails in the back of the refrigerator and have not had any spoilage.
My diet varies from moderate to relaxed Keto. I avoid all grains and dairy products. This was difficult at first, but there is 30# less of me and I feel much better. Yes, I lost weight eating a lot of lard. No starvation diet and only moderate exercise.

This is our first time using pork lard. It is AWESOME. It loves our cast iron pans--it is the most nonstick cooking fat we have ever used in them, even if you only use a little (that's a lot in the picture ). We recently used fatworks pork lard to make dark roux for gumbo. I also made biscuits, but I can only upload one picture. Fatworks pork lard is perfect for making a dark roux because it has a higher smoking point. I melted the lard in a Dutch oven, whisked in the flour and then popped it into a 350 oven for a few hours, stirring every 20-30 minutes, until the desired color and texture was achieved. Takes longer than the stovetop method, but it comes with insurance. It's really hard to burn the roux using this method. Just set a timer to check on it every 20-30 minutes.

An absolutely FAT-tastic customer service experience, not to mention an excellent product. All my questions were answered, and I was educated on the little 1 oz samples...so I bought 3 of them. Haven't tried them all, purchased mini grass fed ghee, duck fat and goat milk ghee. The grass fed ghee is really tasty. I don't eat meat....go figure, but I know good fat is essential. Looked for a way to find product sourced from small family farms and found Fatworks. I've been using the pork lard for a bit, and wanted to bulk buy the large pail. When I was a young boy too long ago, I clearly remember my grandmother, a talented woman who always grew the best gardens and then cooked up those memorable meals. I have missed that so much, but now I can cook like she did. I purchased a Pig Pail from Fatworks so that I can start dipping it out in earnest. Up to this point I have ordered several jars of lard and tallow while getting rid of seed oils in the kitchen. But now its serious cooking time and a pail a quality lard is now my kitchen standard. I don't know if my return to animal fat cooking would have gone as well if I had bought elsewhere. I know that with Fatworks, the product is freshly made, shipped quickly and always arrives well packaged. The only problem so far is that Fatworks is so good that several of the products will be sold out. That is why I am a Pig Pail man now, I don't want to run out of animal fats to cook with.
