For bulk bakers and serious lard lovers, our 1 Gallon Organic Leaf Lard Pail (7.2 lbs., if you were wondering) offers a more economical way to source the finest lard in the land. Packed in a temperature-rated, BPA-free bucket, you get more pig for your penny and more swine for your dime when you buy pork leaf fat in bulk.
The Organic Leaf Lard Pail is the equivalent of eight of our 14 oz Organic Leaf Lard jars — that’s 115.2 ounces of pure, organic quality. Our Organic Leaf Lard is artisanally crafted in open kettles from the highly prized “leaf fat” — the internal fat around the pig’s kidneys that’s naturally free of muscle tissue, giving it a mild, “not-so-porky” flavor perfect for baking.
Because it’s USDA Certified Organic, every step, is verified to meet strict federal organic standards. That means pigs raised with room to roam, without antibiotics or synthetic hormones, fed a 100% organic, non-GMO diet, and never given food or libing spaces with synthetic pesticides or herbicides.
Leaf Lard a.k.a. Baker's Lard is famous for turning out the flakiest pies and the most tender biscuits, but it’s also perfect for everyday cooking, sautéing vegetables, browning meats, and replacing those dreaded “industrial seed oils” in your kitchen. With its naturally high smoke point (375°F), shelf stability, and exceptional flavor, it meets the highest standards of gourmet cooks, passionate bakers, Keto, Carnivore, and Paleo followers, as well as those wise enough to just eat real food.
I've used the organic leaf lard as a skin moisturizer with a few essential oils. My skin looks and feels so much better. I feel relief! And safe using this while pregnant. Any cuts, bumps, or acne has healed surprisingly faster. I’d read about the benefits of using lard and tallow compared to other options. I used coconut oil for years and it doesn’t compare to the hydration I feel from applying lard! And a little goes a long way, it doesn’t feel greasy, and I would recommend it. I appreciate Fatworks for making this available. May Jesus bless you all!
Have always rendered my own lard. But getting old and lazy I'm glad to find a supplier that does it the right way. Ordered a pale of Leaf Lard and Beef Tallow
Lard is exactly like my own rendered version. So happy to have a supplier and be relieved of collecting fat and rendering.
Beef Tallow is not something I used previously. Adds a nice flavor to sautéed mushrooms and fried potatoes. Look forward to trying it in additional dishes.
Glorious! Love this product. Use it cooking beans. Mix half lard/half unsalted butter when cooking meats and veggies. Pic is just opened container. ❤️💕
This is one our must-have items, especially for the holidays! A combo of this lard and butter makes the best pie crust ever. I also make several old recipes that used lard. This is our third bucket! It usually lasts us over a year in the fridge.
This makes the best pie crust. I won't make crust without this as it is just not the same. I make giant sheet pan pies that require three batches of crust so it was time for the tub of lard... Excellent product with no aftertaste.
Since we switched to fatworks products , everything is just better, tastier, crisper with the knowledge that it's healthy as well.
The organic pork lard is our regular order and go to for most kitchen frying now.
So happy to have found Fatworks
This is the one thing I've been searching for all my baking needs. It really makes them moist and delicious. I also appreciate the organic versions of all products. I look forward to trying some duck products.
