OH CONTRAIRE, DERRIÈRE 

Contrary to popular belief diaper crème does not need a lot of chemicals to be effective. Nature has plenty of amazing ways to soothe the savage sebum. Let's start off with Grass Fed Tallow. The fatty acid profile of Grass Fed Tallow is so close to your baby's own sebum, so it's like rubbing a protective layer of skin on your baby's own skin. Tallow repels water allowing the skin to absorb its beneficial lipids while keeping irritating water out. We use Grass-Fed Tallow in conjunction with other barrier-forming ingredients such as Coconut Oil, Beeswax and Non-Nano Zinc Oxide.  Coconut oil has been shown to reduce skin inflammation, itching, and irritation while providing a barrier to further protect the skin. Beeswax includes antibacterial properties ideal for keeping the rash from spreading. Into this base we incorporate non-nano zinc oxide, an ultra-effective mineral blend that helps seal out wetness while protecting your cherished one's chafed area. 

INFUSED WITH CALM

We've infused our powerful protective base described above with calming Calendula and Chamomile botanicals. Organic Calendula promotes wound healing and reduces inflammation and even stimulates collagen production to help rebuild baby's tush from the bottom up. Chamomile meanwhile, accelerates cell and tissue renewal and has been shown to have antibacterial, anti-fungal, antiseptic, and antioxidant properties (not bad for a little ole' daisy.).

Of all the skincare products that we have formulated over the last several years, Tallow Tush™ was the most tested and most used. We were fortunate to have a little Fatworker in diapers while we were formulating this fat-tastic diaper rash cream for babies and we are proud to say that at the first signs of redness we would apply Tallow Tush on our little girl.  She is now 5 and has never had a rash a single day in her entire life. This is a product that we firmly swear by. We would never trust your baby's bottom to Tallow Tush if we wouldn't trust it to our own baby, and that's the bottom line.

How to Use

  • Coconut Oil: healing emollient rich in lauric acid and capric acid with powerful antimicrobial and anti-fungal properties. Reduces inflammatory and aids in treatment of ache. Improves skin hydration and used in the treatment of eczema.

  • Organic Calendula: a marigold flower with antifungal, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial properties. Used in the treatment of eczema, surface wounds and relieving diaper rash. Soothing and skin firming with pain relieving properties.

  • Non-nano Zinc: Zinc Oxide is a trace mineral bodies requires for repairing skin. Supports healing by soothing, softening sensitive dermis areas. Non-nano zinc is made with larger zinc particles which prevents the zinc being absorbed into your skin making them safe for the whole family and better for the environment (coral reef safe!).

  • Organic Chamomile Flowers: contains powerful anti-oxidants including polyphenols and phytochemicals. Protects skin from free radical damage while accelerating the tissue renewal. Calms inflammation and redness.

  • Organic Beeswax: natural antibacterial and anti-fungal wax that creates a protective layer on the skin. Helps decrease itching and burning. A natural exfoliator that sheds damaged skin cells. Helps baby bee happy.

  • Grass Fed Tallow: a super-emollient that replenishes and balances the oils in your skin by mimicking your sebum. Stearic acid makes tallow naturally face-firming, and palmitoleic acid helps to moisturize, repair, and prevent damage to the skin. Effective as a natural antimicrobial that prevents dryness all day.
